Crowe fined

The predictions were dire - that he'd be thrown out of the United States no less - but the outcome was an anticlimax. New Zealand actor Russell Crowe (we only claim him as an Aussie when he does good) has been fined US$160 on a misdemeanour charge for throwing a phone at a hotel concierge. He's also been told to stay out of trouble. Maybe that's the hardest part of the penalty.
