Name to remember
"It's written and performed by a woman, but it's certainly not girly humour." So says Laura Solon, the second woman ever to win the Perrier Award, Britain's most prestigious comedy prize (and, as far as I'm aware no relation to wrongfully deported Australian citizen Vivian Solon). Among her characters are an Australian possessed by the spirit of Princess Diana, a racist self-help guru and a sex-obsessed fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. Read more about her here (UK Telegraph, may require registration).
